Nader Naderi, a member of the negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, reports that the Taliban group is ready to establish a three-month ceasefire.Mr. Naderi announced this intention of the Taliban in a press conference in Kabul. According to him, one of the negotiating members of the Taliban said that they are ready to establish a three-month ceasefire if the group's 7,000 prisoners are released and the names of the leaders of this group are removed from the UN sanctions list.

The conflict between the Afghan security forces and the Taliban group (a group banned in Russia) has increased unprecedentedly in the past two months, and this rebel group has succeeded in removing some districts of the country from the control of the government forces. Currently, the Afghan security forces are launching offensive operations against the Taliban alongside the popular uprising forces.
