Fawad Aman, Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of National Defense of Afghanistan, announced that on Saturday evening, August 7 (16 Asad), the American B-52 warplane attacked Taliban positions in Jawzjan Province.
Aman wrote on his official Facebook and Twitter pages: "US B-52 warplanes targeted a Taliban gathering place in Shabarghan city this evening." In this attack, very heavy casualties have been inflicted on the terrorists."
The deputy spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan tweeted: "200 Taliban have been killed as a result of this attack."
