As a result of an air strike by the army forces in Helmand province, 54 Taliban fighters and one member of the Al-Qaeda network have been killed.  

The Ministry of Defense has published a newsletter saying that this airstrike was launched last night (12 Asad) in the city of Lashkargah, the center of Helmand.According to the news, two important members of this group are included among the dead Taliban fighters. The Ministry of Defense also said that 16 other Taliban fighters were wounded in this airstrike.

The ministry added that some of the vehicles and equipment of the Taliban were also destroyed in this attack.
The Taliban group has not yet said anything about this.
It should be mentioned that Helmand province in the south of the country is one of the insecure provinces where the city of Lashkargah has witnessed Taliban attacks in recent days.

Earlier, the United Nations announced that thousands of people have been displaced in this city and Kandahar city in the last three days.
